Primary Workshops for Schools

Chinese Lion Dance Workshop

Our Chinese Lion Dance workshop is a unique, once in a lifetime experience. It’s traditionally performed for good luck and good fortune at significant events or times of the year. The lion dance is a important form of traditional dance in Chinese culture and incorporates many of the essential movements found in Kung Fu.

Your children will be awed by the spectacle that our highly skilled artists will bring to your school beginning with a colourful and interactive demonstration, which is designed to complement the sessions to follow. Whilst available year round, our Chinese Lion Dance workshop is extremely popular during Chinese New Year and we would recommend booking early to avoid disappointment! We can cater for a single class or multiple classes so whatever your requirements, we can create a workshop to suit.

Our Chinese Lion Dance workshop is delivered all year-round to celebrate this wonderfully colourful and dynamic culture and links perfectly with Chinese New Year, Cultural Weeks, International Days and Arts Weeks.

For more information on our Chinese Lion Dance Workshop, give us a call on 01536 265432 or email us on [email protected].

Workshop Performance

Workshop & Performance

Workshop Sessions:

Up to 8 sessions

During a typical day-long workshop, Primary Workshops for Schools will start the day off with a once in a lifetime lion dance demonstration. We can work with up to 30 children in a session and deliver 6 sessions, stretching to 8 if required. The workshop can then end with a performance from the children. This allows the children to demonstrate their new skills and develop in confidence.
