Our Chinese Dance Workshops cover a wide variety of traditional dances, from Umbrella Dancing and Fan Dancing to Dragon Dance and Lion Dance. All of these are great to celebrate Chinese culture and Chinese New Year.

China has a strong history of various dance forms but its folk dances are amongst the most popular. Our Chinese Dance Workshops will enable your children to learn folk dances from this exciting and diverse area of the world, such as Fan Dance and Umbrella Dance. Or work together to create the amazing Dragon Dance or Lion Dance!
In Chinese Dance, many of the traditional folk dances relate to important aspects of the Chinese culture such as hunting, harvest and ancient gods. We can give your children the opportunity to appreciate and experience this fascinating culture through our Chinese Dance workshops for schools, whilst enjoying a fun and interactive session.
Who is it for?
We can cater for up to 8 sessions of 30 children per session, each focusing on a traditional Chinese dances such as the Umbrella Dance and Fan Dance, complete with authentic props.
Conclude the day with an enchanting performance by the children, celebrating what they’ve learned. Whilst available year round, our Chinese Dance workshops are extremely popular during Chinese New Year and we would recommend booking early to avoid disappointment!
How it works
Structure
A full day of immersive sessions. We can deliver up to 8 sessions per day, accommodating 30 children per session. That’s up to 240 children in a single day!
What to expect
Each session involves learning a choreographed dance routine and preparing for a group performance.
Performance
The day concludes with a performance where children show off their new skills, building confidence and leaving lasting memories.
Extras
Chinese fans and umbrellas are provided to make the experience even more exciting.
